What is forgiveness? I often say I have forgiven those who wronged me. I don't wish anyone harm but I have been known to hold resentment. Why do people act so rude and mean? Well we live in a poole of people with different opinions. Different ideas about there own moral compass. We live in a broken world. Jesus says; "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Epb.6:12 KJV.
Still we tend to forget about others and get entangled with ourselves and our needs and wants. Again, we can not achieve this kind of love without Jesus, We receive the Holy Spirit and then we are taught by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I want to be a loving, caring person like Jesus. Matt. 6:14 states: "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." So back to forgiveness. I keep laying my resentment at the feet of Jesus and He keeps teaching me how to let go and let God.
I would like to close in prayer. If you need prayer please read this and agree by saying Amen. Thank you Lord for forgiving us. Please help me to forgive others and myself. May the Lord fill you with gentleness and peace as you lay your hurts before Him at the cross. Now Lord, may the seed of faith grow in those who said this prayer. May they hold tight to the hem of your garment as they read your Word, and Pray for there needs. Thank you, Lord for saving them. I give you all praise and glory. In Jesus Name Amen.
