Before I understood the character of God I would lose hope often. I thought I understood God, but I was wrong. I truly did not know God. In order to know someone you must spend time with them. I did not welcome God to spend time with me when I woke up in the morning. Nor did I feed daily on His bread.
This could have been a big mistake but I turned my way of thinking. As I took time to read the Bible and pray I understood my hope was in Him. I would have hope and then it would be gone. Mainly because my hope was in controlling others and expecting them to be trustworthy and reliant. People were not designed to fill your desires. With God's help all your desires line up with God and your purpose is fulfilled. It brings me to this scripture; "Jesus said unto him, If thou cans't believe, all things are possible to them that believeth." Mark 9:23. Jesus is our hope. Amen!
Leaning on the Word of God we find "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer " Romans 12:12. That is our perfect instruction. Our Hope comes from putting our desires, expectations and belief on the only One that can fulfill our Hope. May you find your Hope realized as you search and apply the Word of God and its promises.
